Betsy Whitney

Betsy Whitney was on the original Board of Directors as The Spot on Kirk opened its doors in 2016. She was also a founding member of Down By Downtown Music and was the first person to collaborate on the opening of our music venue.

Currently, she serves as Chief Philanthropy Officer at Good Samaritan Hospice, Inc.

Additionally, she is a former member of the Roanoke Arts Commission, where she advised and assisted the City Council on matters related to the advancement of the arts and humanities within the city. She is also the past president of the Roanoke Women's Foundation.  She enjoys travel and time with her husband Steve and their dog Tulsa.
